About Myself

The following words/contents were written on the first day I bought this personal blog. I thought of changing it many a time, but then decided to preserve it so that I can still feel the excitement of that time.

“I am Kriti Das Thokchom. Mom, all my aunts & elder sisters call me bungo. I haven’t heard any other call me with this name and I don’t like to be called so, other than my family members. Dad calls me inaoba. That name is reserved to be called by my dad only. My close friends in my past school days use a name “kotidas” to tease me. I really don’t like that name. I don’t know why. May be, it is due to the fact that it is called in a way to tease me. There are still some who call me “kitty”. The name looks feminine and so I don’t like it, though I am not angry to be called so. Most of my decent friends call me Kriti or kidas. I get a sense of pride when people call me by my surname “Thokchom” specially when they take the pains to remember it as it is not easy to remember.

I am doing engineering at present in NIT-Bhopal. I am in 3rd year and I am supposed to be reading hard for the campus interviews. As I enjoy making websites I spend a lot of time in maintaining sites and other SEO related things. If you want to see other sites that are maintain by me, you can follow the following links Business and health blog, Proxy server list, fast Proxy, xTeb dating site etc. And lastly feedbacks are always welcomed.”

Update October’08:I am now in Final year enjoying a lot. I got a job offer from Samsung India Electronics pvt. Ltd with a decent package. I am now enjoying every single day in my college as I would not get another chance to be in college by 2009.

Update June’09: I am now in IIM calcutta. I didn’t join the samsung company as I got this chance to study in this prestigious college.

    Hi Kriti,

Very nice to learn about you, about what you are doing. We quite like it what you have put it to this website. We are small Thokchom Family at Melbourne in Australia. Myself, Thokchom (o) Khomdonbi- my wife, Johannes Thokchom- our ten months old son are all settled here very recently. We will continue to read your website and probably write a few when time allows. Myself, a research scientist in a govt research organisation and khomdonbi is a nurse.

I wish you good luck and keep up the good work. Wel done.

I feel lucky to have met this guy. I feel blessed to be able to call him a friend. One word for him – SIMPLE. He’s a living inspiration for me – a source of joy and an example of how hard work, conviction and a pure mind take you places in life. Hats off to you Kriti!!!

Hi, I am a Dinesh from the Thokchom Sagei. I was thinking of starting a web site for the thokchom sagei. Are you interested in the project?

Hi Dinesh. If you are really interested in making such a website for the common good, you can as well use this domain “thokchom.com”. I don’t have much time to maintain my blog these days because of our college activities and ou can use this domain name to make a forum or a popular news site (or whatever you think would be beneficial to all of us) but just give me a small space like http://blog.thokchom.com where I can put my random thoughts from time to time :)

    cheers
