  • Minor Exam

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2007 and filed under Personal | 2 Comments »

Second minor starts from next Monday. Days seem to pass so quickly. I haven’t even recovered well from the past minor one results, and now here - minor 2. The classes were not attended well this time. The inter branch football which held recently has given some sort of uneasiness to me. I am not talking about the broken nail, but the defeat in the hands of IT department in the tie break was something which I did not expect. We could have won it easily. Everyone in our team have contributed their kind mistakes in letting IT win against us. The best player of the day would definitely go to IT goalkeeper, Vasudevan. He saved many goals during the match and again saved 4 consecutive tie break shots to make their team win. But I got a consolation by scoring a goal in the tie break. That was the football story and I want to stick on it. I don’t like minors like anyone.  Thats why, I am taking out some precious study time to write this post. Hoping to get a “Do well in exam” message, but I don’t know whether that would ever come.

    Daman Trip

Posted by admin on September 19th, 2007 and filed under Personal | No Comments »

Our journey in Daman was really memorable. 10 of us from here, went there on 6th September and returned back on 10th September. It was all Sujith’s idea to go there in Daman. He said he wanted to celebrate his birthday in Daman. None of us wanted to go there during our busy college days. But somehow he succeeded in giving offers that none of us can’t refuse. Though the offer he gave to each one of us was appealing (but it was different for different person), I didn’t like any of his offer. But I still went there because I didin’t want to be left behind and I didn’t want to miss the GPL session. The train journey was of 16 hours. The thing which I liked most is the food Sujith’s parents provided. It was really tasty and it reminded me of my home made food. For the first time in my life, I discovered that the south Indian Food “Idli” is tasty. How foolish I was to judge food from the dish our hostel mess provides.

While I ate most of the foods at his house, some of my friends enjoyed some particular foods and drinks found at Dhaba. The first day was spent on a carrom session(tournament) where Vasu and I ultimately became the winner. Both of us got treat from the remaining of us at night. Before I continue, let me tell you who were there with us. The 10 of us are Sujith Sudhakaran, Vasudevan MS, Manu Basil, Jayakrishnan, Pravin, Swathi S Nair, Ankit, Nepram Surajkumar, Waikhom Ningsuhen and myself. Sunday was the most memorable day for me. We went for Daman Beach right from the morning. We played football, 5 against 5. I think we won, but I am not sure as the game had many many additional rules. After that we played cricket. I scored more that 15 runs for the first time of my life there. But we lost the match. I can’t remember who were there in my team. Moreover a lot of creative works were done under the sea water. Unfortunately, the coral stone cut my feet and so stopped me from playing further there.

We didn’t returned to Sujith’s house in that night as it was his birthday and he said it would be better if we give him GPL outside his house. Thats what I thought but they seemed to have other plan……….

It was 1 am at night, there was no bus or rickshaw. We returned to Sujith’s house on foot walking a distance of 5 Km. I hate that part very much. Pravin was saving lives after lives, Manu was mad with 1/4, and sujith was angry about some inch(all these are coded message and I can neither erase it off nor elaborately explain it).

We had a break journey back to Bhopal. At Badodara, we have to wait for some 3 hours for the next train. Having nothing to do, we went in a cinema hall to watch the hindi movie “Darling”. All patience broke down. I had never seen such a movie. We didn’t need another word; all of us came out during the interval. Times of India gave a rating of 2/5. Had I been the critic, I would have introduced the negative(-) rating.

Monday morning, fortunately was GT and so had a nice sleep back at hostel.

    About me

Posted by admin on September 19th, 2007 and filed under Personal, General | No Comments »

I am Kriti Das Thokchom. The female family members of my big joint family call me bungo. I haven’t heard any other call me with this name and I don’t like to be called so, other than my family members. Dad calls me inaoba. That name is reserved to be called by my dad only. My close friends in my past school days use a name “kotidas” to tease me. I really don’t like that name. I don’t know why. May be, it is due to the fact that it is called in a way to tease me. There are still some who call me “kitty”. The name looks feminine and so I don’t like it, though I am not angry to be called so. Most of my decent friends call me Kriti or kidas.

I am doing engineering at present in NIT-Bhopal. I am in 3rd year and I am supposed to be reading hard for the campus interviews. As I enjoy making websites I spend a lot of time in maintaining sites and other SEO related things. If you want to see other sites that are maintain by me, you can follow the following links Business and health blog, The write reviews, Health and IT blog. And lastly feedbacks are always welcomed.

    Personal diary

Posted by admin on September 19th, 2007 and filed under Personal | No Comments »

I want to use this site as a general site related with the various surnames available in Manipur mainly the the Thokchom as this is a Thokchom site. But I don’t have that time and resources to do so presently. So, for the time being, I will be using this site as a personal site which will look like a diary in some way. Yet you would see many different posts ranging from reviews of books and movies I see(all would be my opinion) to displaying my favourite movies, books, cuisines etc from time to time. Updating this site itself is a problem to me as I don’t have time to maintain this site. I don’t expect this site to get many traffic so far as it is new and I haven’t written anything that is very valuable to the people so far. But it would soon be a valuable one, I guarantee you. Those posts related with me and my personal opinion etc would be filed under the category “personal” so that it can be distinguished from the other posts. And those post related with Thokchom would be filed under the Thokchom category. if you are not interested in any of the categories, you can check other categories.

    A simple wish

Posted by admin on September 13th, 2007 and filed under Personal | No Comments »

It is my wish to have this site attain some Google Page Rank 6 or 7, at least. I don’t know whether it would ever reach that mark or not, but it is my wish , which may come true at any time like I used to. Well, I would be posting some real stories and backgrounds with long ancestral history about the surname Thokchom, but the thing is that I need to really do some sort of research to do that. The knowledge that I gain about this thokchom from my parents is brief and short. I want a long and interesting story. But I don’t know whether it would be possible for me to do that or not.  I may or may not be able to do that, but lets see. Meanwhile, if there is anyone who would like to contribute anything regarding thokchom, please send me a message or write it in the comments. I would post it.
